Does anybody can assist me please?
I have a button on the controller, depending on wether the shift button is pressed or not, it sends 2 different MIDI notes.
I can get the LED working on non-pressed shift button mode, but I could not get the LED working on pressed shift button, the LED always shows the non-pressed mode, even shift is pressed. How can this be configured the right way?

I appreciate it so please don't take it the wrong way but it's another video of a similar or same exact example everyone else uses thus not really helping or furthing my understanding of how the modifiers and outs work exactly. The only people that need help are people with budget MIDI controllers so I think it would benefit everyone the most if you hooked one up and showed exactly how to do the basics. There's only a few features that people even need to begin with so I feel like almost every single one could be gone over in detail from loops to freeze mode or slicing and of course cues and deleting cues. Just cover key features that everyone would consider the most important and essential to every digital dj. thanks!

Very helpful video so thanks for that.. I was wondering if I could bother you with a question?
I've just bought a Launchpad mini to couple with my NI S8 controller and have laterally mapped Remix deck cells to the pads. However due to physical restrictions of the controller being only 8 lateral pads, I'd like to assign a page down button to move the buttons to the next set of pads .. Is that possible?
Because when I assign a sample page selector command to a button it moves the page up and down in traktor but the triggers still trigger the same samples from the previous page..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi, I have some problemes with mapping my BCD3000 (an old one.. i know).
I want to use 2 buttons to scroll in my music browser. I would like to hold one button and then use my Jog wheel to scroll between the tracks. I still use my jog wheel to bend my tracks and I do not want to give it up. How do I map that in traktor?

i noticed, you dont have the category of output in the add out section.
how do make the LED come on, with out that section?

Hi im trying to use the Key knob on traktor pro 2, but using it with the mouse doesn't really get me the pitch I want, Can u tell me how to map the key knob (pitch control) to one of the knobs on my Traktor X1 controller?

Only way to really learn the proper way is to explain why! Why toggle,why value why , why ? . I watched like a million videos but what is one wants do go more in depth in order to mapp say 2 x-1 with a pair dicers and a pair of f-1 to do do multiple things. How is one to know exactly if it is not specified . It kinda helps but not fully.

That depends on the MIDI range that you have set in MIDI out commands. You'll need to check what ranges correspond to the different colors for your specific midi controller.

Is there any way to assign the balance knob as a filter knob and another button to activate it? i've been trying to figure it out but i just end up messing up my control on the rmx

I don't have an S4, so I don't know if there are any S4-specific issues using the 2 together. We have a video on setting up midi controllers. Watch the first part of our How to DJ With Traktor Pro series. Just set Maschine to midi mode and then map whatever commands that you want.

Yes, if you set the button to toggle instead of hold it would work like an On/Off switch. When you map commands in Traktor, you have the option on telling it how you want to interact with the software. The most obvious examples being toggle and hold. I think there are a few other types of button interactions that you can use with Traktor, but I haven't investigated them fully.
