Leonard from Kosmic sound shows you how to add a live element to your DJ sets by syncing Native Instrument's Maschine to Traktor using only 1 computer. This is a really neat way to introduce another level to your DJ sets using 2 great products from Native Instruments. You may have seen guys like Ritchie Hawtin and Dubfire doing this type of thing with 2 computers synced together, however with this method you can have the same level of hands on control using only 1 computer. why he wudnt go with DB4 and sound card built it ?? because DB4 is a shit mixer for lots of money !!!

Can maschine have it's own channel instead of piggy backing one of the cdj's I have the djm 900 mixer and two cdj's but I piggy back one of my cdj's I want the maschine to have it's own channel how would I set that up

I cant get both the metronomes to sync up fully, on traktor's global section, the track BPM stays on, say - 125.99 ... so Traktors BPM and Maschines BPM is always 1BPM out.. when i type and chance it in traktor it just goes back to 125.'99'. .. Help?

hello i found this tutorial very helpful.. two things, I keep having to tap sync when I start the traktor/ maschine playing together.. is that how it works? and more importantly, maschine just seems to be playing audio out in sync rather than through a channel on my S4 mixer.. Can i route it to say deck D so it has its own volume/ fx channel? Cheers

yeah ive just got this working with the S4.. not sure how to route it through deck 3 so it has a separate fx and volume control..

Do you connect Maschine to the sound card or plug directly into the computer?

Can this be done with the Maschine Mikro? I want to add a Maschine to my setup like Richie, Dubfire etc but can't seem to find any info on this.

Its a bit tricky to diagnose without seeing your system running, so all I can suggest is to make sure you have all the updates for both pieces of software. Traktor Virtual MIDI has only been included in the last couple of versions so make sure Traktor is right up to date. Are you running a PC? We're going to check this out on a PC setup to make sure it works, and will get back to you.
