new to spray gellcoat, I see that 4.7 mil that I think is thousands of an inch or about 1.2 mm. Comparing to your fingernail looks to be very large, it looks to be more than a quarter of an inch. Whats up with that?

Hi, no its best to use Sprayable Gelcoat always, gelcoat can indeed be thinned but more than 7% by weight, but results are far better using Spray Gelcoat, hope this helps, best rgds

Hi there, you would need to use Spray Gelcoat as the viscosity is lower than standard brush gelcoat, you can to a degree thin brush gelcoat down with Styrene to lower the viscosity 7% by weight but you sometimes dont get the same results, hope this helps.

I couldn't figure out how to adjust it. I was using it for Duratec Primer (1/2 cup) mixed with 50cc of MEK (as a thinner) and 10cc of MEKP. My air pressure was around 20 or 30psi. All it did was drip out of the cup. I had to finish with a paint brush. I tried adjusting the knob on the bottom - no luck. Maybe not enough air pressure? The fibreglast website said Duratec with a cup gun should be around 10-15psi.
