4. rane 57 with built in serato. cant complain. Z2 for 600 brand new with software included and with vinyls. both amazing it honestly depends on your style but these mixers are at the top of the industry right now so you cant really look down on either one unless ur being bias. im a traktor guy and i have a 56. i feel like the scratching is better on rane but stuck with traktor because of how innovative it is and i got a maschine mk2 i use with it.
5. For under $1000, Serato DJ's can get the Z2 for $599 and get the Denon Df1 and run Serato DJ on the Z2.
6. You could just use the z2 with turntables and use traktor. Sell your Serato control its crap. Sound cards top quality on it. Time code built in. If your a dj turntablist traktor is the only way.
7. awesome video,   I've been debating for weeks between the z2 and the 57,   I'm rocking tech mk2's ,  the 57 just seems to sound right,  but the main thing i like about the z2 is the extra usb ports in back,  talk about convenient..   decisions decisions

16. Bought a Z2 last week. So far I'm loving it. Got mine for $599 brand new. 
17. From the standpoint of a person who owns both a 57SL and Traktor Kontrol Z2.
    
    If you are video mixing the 57SL your only choice. If you are not video mixing then read on.
    
    It's not a fair comparison in my opinion because the 57SL has been out for a very long time but...
    
    After 6months on both I can tell you that the Z2 is much better than the 57SL.
    
    How about the Rane Sixty-One?: Actually coming from the 57SL many of my DJ friends consider the Sixty-One a downgrade. Not sure why Rane even made this mixer at the price point it is at. They should drop the price in my opinion.
    
    The Sixy-Two vs Z2 is better comparison in which the Sixty-Two wins especially with 2 USB connections for easy switching but, it loses severely in the price department.
    
    In Rane's defense after owning a mixer(any mixer) for 5-10 years it more than pays for itself and Rane products do last very long. Also, Rane products can be sent for repair out of warranty to Washington. Nobody can tell you the longevity of the Z2 because it hasn't been out long enough and I am not sure if you can send it out to get repaired out of warranty but, 6months in my Z2 is working perfectly.
18. WAS DEBATING BETWEEN THE Z2 AND THE 57. AFTER I WATCHED THIS VIDEO AND A FEW OTHERS. I STARTED TO LEAN TOWARD THE Z2 BECAUSE I DIDNT WANNA SPEND THE MONEY ON A NEW 57. ONCE I SEEN YOU COULD MAPP THE Z2 TOO SERATO I SAID LET ME GIVE IT A TRY. WENT OUT BOUGHT A NEW Z2 FOR $799. I SPENT ALL NIGHT WITHT THE MIXER AND I MUST SAY AFTER I FIGURED OUT THE MAPPING WITH SERATO THIS MIXER HANDS DOWN ROCKS AND NOW I HAVE THE OPTION TO LEARN TRAKTOR. THE Z2 IS THE WAY TO GO IF YOU WANNA SAVE A FEW BUCKS BUT STILL GET TOP PRICE FEATURES
