In this video I show you how I changed the bright green trim around the edge of the Roland TR-8 to a more sleek looking black trim.

So you didn't "key up" the plastic before applying the primer ! ... this is gonna look terrible when it starts to chip which it WILL do eventually.

This is easily achieved with no dismantling and a thick black permanent merker pen.

I'd choose a matte black spray paint, personally. But that's a totally subjective "personal preference" decision. Any thoughts on that anode8? Thanks for posting.

I am going to get the white Synthgraphics overlay... But wanted the black edges like you did.
If I just remove the slider caps and then mask the machine off do I need to trajectory apart to paint just the green edges? -
I thought about doing this too! But now I think, it might also look pretty cool in orange :)

Wake up Roland, your green is fugly. I'm gonna do this and probably more/ get the leds less bright, overlay too. Thx for sharing this!

Pretty cool man, I don't hate the green enough to try it myself... but your TR-8 does look ****ing sweet now :)
