that was entertaining

That is amazing! You can share the project of spray gun details, some data? I want to do it.

I feel sorry for that poor Iris,,,
lots of free time on their hands,,,,, -
yea wobbly paint can no good, retune probably necessary, sonic device helpful for altitude hold...
-
That's the worst flying I've ever seen
-
Heh I was thinking of buying a drone to take with me driving for traffic pileups and to keep for photography trips (Going to Yellowstone National Park, Oregon, etc). Love the Tank Girl profile banner ;p

Consider going with a tiny pump feeding paint through a plastic tube with a sponge on the end. This removes the prop wind problems, keeps the quad balanced, is very small, and everything is dirt cheap.

é muita imbecilidade....

Heh we gave this a try to, a year ago. Except that is was autonomous :)

Why don't you all practice flying drones first... or at least hire someone that remotely knows what they are doing.

Spray painting with a drone is hard...
I think you want to rigidly mount the can so that is not swinging around, and you will need to retune the PIDs of the controller to adjust for the 'change' in the airframe.
You could also look to see if you can extend the nozzle so that the spray point is out to one side, say 'in-front' between props. This would also allow you to mount additional 'distance to wall' sensors (ultrasonic, IR, radar, etc) on the prop-struts either side of the nozzle.
Good luck, it looks like a fun project. -
The guards are a great idea, but if you used them as a bumper up against the wall....
Fly up to the wall, put the bumpers against the wall to steady the quad, then back off and spray. you can always push forward to the bumpers to steady the quad. -
better use a quad for daily makeup. just use some safety glass :))
-
Fly that thing manual mode none of that gyro mode crap!
-
I'm wondering if some form of HVLP would work on a quad, though the spray itself would greatly affect the manuverability. No reason it has to spray out at 90° to work though.

Imagine the tagging that thing is going to be capable of!!!
You might try the small cans of model paint, they would really lighten the load.
