Painting a Door With a Wagner Sprayer
Tricks, Ratschläge, Online, Reparieren, Landwirtschaft, Landwirtschaft Maschine
Tired of all the sound in the house echoing into the bedroom, I decided to replace the bedroom door with a solid core pine door. Of course, this meant painting it to match the existing trim. Cue a time lapse using my Wagner Control Spray Max HVLP Sprayer to put 4 coats of white on the door.

Ha, could have skipped taping the wall and finished that garage while you were at it!
-
The doors came out fantastic! Doors/small sections of fence/cabinets/etc. seems to be the perfect use case for this sprayer (as long as you do the work outside)
-
What were your thoughts on overall performance on the doors. Do the results meet your expectations?

Search for "Wagner 518080 Control Spray Max HVLP Sprayer" on amazon. There are some great reviews on that very topic. Personally I did not like its performance on interior walls because of the amount of setup and tear down time it took and the inevitable overspray.

hey my friend i have a question. can i paint house walls with that?
-
@mrnadir2000 It was regular paint, thinned with about 5% with water. Each coat was very thin.

15min between coats is pretty good. Was it regular enamel paint? Or some quick drying car-paint like paint?
-
@d56alpine Total time was about 2-3 hours. Yes, there was about 15 minutes dry time between coats. Basically, after I finished one side, I flipped it over and painted the second side. By the time the second side was done, the first side was almost completely dry. This is a major plus with using the Wagner -- the atomized paint dries very quickly. A second plus is the wood grain still shows through!

Is there no drying time involved? How long did this take you?

Very cool.
