9. Proves how well developed and sorted the 944 was. Back in the 80's it was often scoffed at and not even considered a "real Porsche" by the 911 die-hards. "Too civilized", "too technical" and "too modest" were common complaints. Nonsense, the car was just ahead of its time. Took way into the mid 1990's until other manufacturers produced practical supercars with accessible performance for their owners.
   
   This middle-aged bird (the car) still has got it. Merely a few seconds slower than V12 engined supercars in 2006 on the same track.

12. Shift stick is so loose, is it normal? Mine is very tight.
13. I just returned from the Nordshleife and ran my 944s. After seven turns my best was a 9:25 You drove the wheels off that car! Nice...
