tracks won't help if it is soft enough and the bottom is dragging
-
Sure, tracks are better, but wich idiot would drive a combine through that in reality?
-
That case is better
-
Because u can't get over John deer and see past the facts
-
They have to have 4wd We had one that was worthless in mud until we upgraded to 4wd
-
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.
-
Now they can spend the rest of the next couple days digging and washing mud out from the undercarriages..
-
hard on hydros
-
I don't know about anyone else, but if I had a half million dollar combine it would never go near mud.
-
not to mention, if you have to run your combine on a field under this conditions, you may stop harvesting at all :)

drive in different trails loaded up. see what happens. I don't see any white crap that we farm thru.
-
i bet with a full load of corn in the grain the track combine would do the same but easier to get out
-
yah but what if your full of grain

we run 2 big JD combines in beans, last year was a very wet fall.. one combine we left with duals, but it as the combine that got stuck, and also you just didn't try to go anywhere questionable. We put some great big fat tires on the other combine...had them on for about a day, weren't much better, then got a set of tracks.. the combine also had rear wheel assist. I wont say that it can go though "anything" but if its wet enough to get that thing stuck, you probably shouldn't be out in the field, no tractors/wagons or semi's would be able to be in the field that's for sure. I'm with someone else who said fill the grain tank on those, put some weight on em. I don't see this test as really showing a whole lot.

It's a strange shape for the tracks. Why so complicated? Btw, absolutely effective.
-
my grandpa had i believe it was a second cousin that had a farm i rode wide the son combining with case ih with tracks and the back tires rutted when the tracks just packed a little bit
-
They make this seem so easy. We farm up north against the Canadian line in North Dakota. SInce 2011 till end of 2014 we have battled wet flooded fields. we still run the duallies but our neighbors got themselves the tracks and within 5 minutes of combining they were stuck just as good as the wheel option. If you have saturated lands... nothing will stay up !

Who in their right mind combines corn in conditions as such?! I would be more interested in which one can handle a load grain in the hopper with a heavy 12 row head.. I would think at some point that is going to be too much weight for the rims, and perhaps axle., I cant imagine how the track version would hold up any better.

i wanna see them do it with a full bin....

I love how Jonny is the last to the track party and they are like hey look how awesome tracks are now!
