Moen High Arc Kitchen Faucet Leaking O-Ring Replacement
Tricks, Ratschläge, Online, Reparieren, Landwirtschaft, Landwirtschaft Maschine
DIY - Learn to replace the o-rings in your Moen high arc kitchen faucet to get it to stop leaking. My kitchen faucet (Monticello 7730) was leaking around the base and it would leak for quite awhile after running water from the faucet. Once you have the free warranty replacement seal kit and the proper tools (rubber strap wrench) it's very easy to do. For me it took less than 5 minutes. Please also check out the accompanying blog post (http://blog.trebacz.com/2012/12/how-to-fix-leaking-moen-kitchen-faucet.html) to get a copy of the instruction manual for this faucet. Most of Moen's single handle cathedral spout kitchen faucets will likely be repaired the same way.

Great video! I had the o-rings but had no idea where they were supposed to be installed. This boiled down to a 5 minute repair for a leaky faucet that's been driving me crazy for a year!

Thanks

The collar on my faucet will not budge. I have a similar kit of two strap wrenches and neither works. I may have to settle with marring mine up to get it off.

Great video. It was very helpful up until the point when the new o-ring snapped because I over tightened the faucet. FML.

Thanks for making this video. I have the same leak. I wasn't exactly sure where the problem might be or how to fix it but you made it clear and showed how easy it will be to remedy. Off to Home Depot I go for one of those handy-dandy rubber wrench thingamabobs!

The video is great, however, I had a very hard time getting the collar off so finally I used a basin wrench. After removing the collar, I pulled the faucet several times to get access to the O-Ring seal but it will not budge, any suggestions.

Hello David, Ive just purchased and instaled a moen in my kitchen but water flows very weak so you know how can l do to make it stronger, if there is a forum or a site for this problems, thankyou

This is why people should buy quality fixtures rather than disposable crap that can't be repaired. Nice video.

Hey, thanks for this video, you saved me some worry and trial+error!

Does anyone know the size of the O Ring? I really don't want to have to wait a week for the part. Thanks in advance!

Hey, u saved me a service call. Mucha gracias!

Worked like a champ. Thanks for showing me how to do this. Used an o-ring from a repair kit I had in the garage. No more leaks!

I have the same exact Arc Faucet and even used the same exact rubber strap wrench you used (tried the large one too) After attempting to rotate counter clockwise the ring nut will loosen but then it tightens up again??? Guess I will get a little WD-40 in there in case there's some grit or other sludge inhibiting the rest of the threads from loosening. You made it look easy but unfortunately I will have to revisit at a later time and try again. I am a fit guy with strong grip too so next step is explosives!

thanks, that was easy =)

Thank you very much!!! If anyone else wants to know the part number is different between Moen faucets this one is Part # 100000 and the model is Monticello which comes with different options. Good luck and thank you for this video.

I probably would have wrecked my whole kitchen sink if it wasn't for this video.
Very much appreciated David! -
If you have anything go wrong with a Moen product they carry a life time guarantee so part and shipping is free. I know I've had to use it more than one time in the past.

Video helped tremendously. Thanks.

Thanks, I have the same faucet and this helped me. Especially because the parts did not come apart easily so you have to know you're doing it properly as you apply massive force.
