It really depends on the type of controller you are using (if you use one), your FX preference, how you visually interact with the GUI and a whole host of other personal preference related questions. What are you looking to get out of your DJ software?

This or Traktor?

its changed the game for me when performing for a new crowd in a town you've never spun before, when your playing the crowd and you play something that they dont really like, instead of paging thru the cd case to find something to save your set and the mood, type in the bpm and it pulls up everything on the spot, pick something, quick mix it, and the floor fills up again, and makes you the talk of the town

@an2nee7 You can mix and record on the same computer.. I'm mixing with torq, and rec output on my mixer in plugged into my laptop (same) -audio in. You must use another program witch record only audio input. I use ableton. It's works. I can do a video if you want to see how it's done.

IS Torq soundcard good for clubs and Large Parties??
-
@CshinFrDaPshin most laptops are good for DJin, main thing you have to check is hard drive space and cpu speed. Most interfaces recommend 1.7+. Personally I have a Macbook which runs 2.3 so it runs the program really smoothly. I suggest a Macbook for DJin, even though they are more expensive there be running for a long while! hope i helped DJ C!
