How to Paint Countertops
Tricks, Ratschläge, Online, Reparieren, Landwirtschaft, Landwirtschaft Maschine
The process of painting Countertops. Fast, easy and best of all very LOW cost. Simply ruff / sand the top after its cleaned. Then clean off the dust from sanding. Tape the sides so that you dont get extra paint everywhere. Then use a foam roller and a foam brush. Paint them. ( This will make your house smell REALLY bad for about 2 days) allow to dry for three days. Thats it. Each QT of paint cost $22.00 - $26.00 and I needed 1 1/2 QT so that = purchasing 2. They come in 16 colors, but the store will mix you any color if you agree to the risk, that it may not work.. IT WILL.. Paint ing the counter tops does not look perfect, and is not the answer to all issues, but for the cost its worth it in the right house. Rentals, Flips, or just if your buying time until you can purchase new tops. Again its not by any means the answer to all, but it it worth the $44.00 cost. ( It will "look" painted , but will "Look" better than the old.. Using a sprayer will cause it to look 100% better... Spray them if you can..... Hope this helps.....

Beautiful! Great idea! My new house has a lime green/brown awful faux something or other design countertops, hideous actually, but this is a great alternative.. Going to look into those colors! Thanks and your counters look great!

thanks your video was simple and explanatory answered every question that I was thinking . Because of your video I will be purchasing this exact same product. hopefully I can execute it flawlessly as you did to your countertop.

Thank you for making this video. I really need something done to my kitchen counter tops. Maybe this will work for me too.

Hi they look great. Just wanted to know, my countertops have some scratches on them the previous owners did. Would that effect this product?

Hey Dave, I too enjoyed your video but in the comment section I noticed a lot of questions but not a lot of answers. I also am wondering about the sandpaper as well as any top coat that you may or may not have used. Would love to see some of these questions answered. Thanx

To Txdave: We want to do this badly and want to mix the Spice color that you get from the Dk Base. I cannot find an accurate example of the color. What do you suggest? Also, how long did you wait between each coat and did you apply a poly coat or would you recommend one? I think I will have to special order this dk base. Thanks, Jane Garrison in GA

did you put a protective coat or clear coat??

Beautiful! You have the touch. And actually, that stuff is toxic- this is a project for fall or spring when you can air out the house. I read the materials sheet, it's full of a form of benzene, Naptha, and xylene. Which is what's needed to dissolve resins, and it's safe to use, just get some doors open once the last coat has set. If you feel dizzy or, really really good! go out for a minute for fresh air. These chemicals are intoxicants as well as solvents, just not intoxicants you want to use. It's glue sniffing or huffing to put it in familiar terms.

Thanks for the video! But how many hours after the first coat did you apply your second coat?
