Amazing videos Chris. Your chair spraying video helped so much when I primed my chairs. I've read over 25 blogs and forums trying to figure out the best black paint to use and finding this video of you using All Purpose has given me hope.
I am painting a full dining room set black with a Graco 360. I've already prepped with Bullseye and sanded with 320. For paint I saw over and over to use SW All Pro, but it doesn't come in black. I also saw some people say not to use SW All Surface since they had problems with curing time and a month later it was still soft or tacky. Unfortunately we want to use these for Thanksgiving which makes time super short.
Have you had issues with dry time on the All Surface? Also, I was just going to top coat the table and cabinet top with the same product you recommend and brush it on (can't spray top coat with the 360). Would the spray paint be ok and give me a clear smooth finish for a dining room table that sees use? I hear spray lacquer can show clouding or the lines where you sprayed? -
You also mentioned using a good quality brush if someone needed to brush it instead of spraying. What would be your choice of brush- Possibly a Purdy XL Glide?
-
If this table was for interior use only would you use Proclassic or have stuck with the All Purpose Enamel? I recall the reviews on Proclassic wee not too good.

Thanks a bunch...love the product info, we also watched your painting a pool deck video...very informative and helpful!
-
will it dry with the same film thickness with the added product?
-
Thanks….great video. (BTW, has anyone ever told you that you look just like Lance Armstrong?? LOL)
-
Chris you are a great source of " how to" but why did you use the 440 and not the cap spray??
-
Chris, what's the difference between the oil bond and something like Krud cutter gloss off? could you off used the gloss off for a project like this?
-
Chris, doing my first furniture paint job in a few weeks on a canopy bed and will surely use Oil Bond over sanding. I had planned to spray a lacquered finish (with 311 tip) to give a high gloss shell look. Any advantages / disadvantages to a lacquer finish and any tips you can share or point me to? BTW, great work on these videos.

I'd actually like to compare the results of products like Oil Bond to the traditional sanding method. A comparison test, like scuffing each finish up with a screwdriver and see which surface is more durable. I don't think I could bring myself to trust a liquid.

I greatly appreciate you! Thanks for all that you do to help so many. I pray God blesses you mightily!

Chris, I just have to say you are the go to man when it comes to teaching on YouTube or anywhere else for that matter. The explanations you give are well thought out and the video quality has been top drawer.
I find that after watching you and your videos several times, it is best to come with pen and paper and a cup of coffee. These are great study sessions.
Thanks so much. -
Thanks for the video, I make lots of stuff out of steel mostly, some aluminum, would you think for a hot rolled steel welded item that this enamel from Sherwin Williams would be a good choice? Also say the steel furniture that you can get?
-
You are a high energy guy, I like it. Thx for the video.
New sub from Cody's project. -
thanks. perfect timing. painting furniture tomorrow this will really help!

I two graco 395's that I love and have used the heck out of for years. I also had a titan 440 that only lasted 3 weeks and the pump needed to be replaced. Sherwin Williams comped me the whole price and just repacked my old rigs. That being said how much do you use that rig? BTW we love your bucket roller cleaning method.

Gloss acrylic paint? Not sure where you got that from because that's not what I used. Your baseboards
