How to fix slow flowing or bad sprayer flow on Peerles P299568LF, P299575LF, P299578LF. At first I thought it was a clogged aerator but it was the Diverter Assembly. The Diverter Assembly part number is RP41702, I bought mine here: http://amzn.com/B004DQUD5Y Parts manual in PDF from Peerless site: http://www.peerlessfaucet.com/media/PartsDiagram/66474-PD%20Rev%20F.pdf

yea already checked that. along time ago. I didn't realize there was a part in the faucet part. So thanks I have it fixed.

OK the sprayer has plenty of pressure but the faucet doesn't. Would it still be the same thing?
-
thank you fixed my Kitchen Faucet

* one more thing... if you're having problems with using a quarter (which I did), just use the straight and blunt side of a kitchen table knife.

I am so thankful for you taking the time to do this video back in 2013. I didn't have the model number or brand for that matter. Another thing you may not be aware of is that most of the videos for replacing the diverter are for easy access diverters. I thought that maybe I was too weak to remove the bottom threaded cone-like thing...but after watching your video, I learned that I needed a true pipe wrench. At first, I was dismayed that the pipe wrench wasn't working, and then I found out that it grips differently, depending on which way the wrench is held (handle to the left vs. handle to the right). Anyhow, I couldn't find the part RP41702 anywhere locally and sucked it up and have decided to wait it out from Amazon. I have an extra sink, so no worries. Thanks again for saving my sanity.

Any idea how to change the sprayer hose? The plastic square part attached to the faucet from underneath. Mine is leaking now. I ordered a replacement just now on Amazon, but have no clue how to get that plastic POS off. I tried it a while back, couldn't figure it out.

Thank you so much for this video and link... I have this same sink, ordered that part and now my water pressure is amazing and the sprayer actually works! I also changed out the drain gaskets that were leaking, and re-did all the plumbing under the sink with a center T instead of the mess that was there before, and a new p trap. Changed out the supply lines, while I was under there. Its like a whole new sink :) Upgraded the sprayer too... Thanks! :)

You did not get the rubber gasket or washer under the diverter valve placed correctly or not tight enough. There should be no flow out of the spout when you are using the spray handle. It is very tricky to get it in just the right position. Also if you tighten it too tight it will squeeze the rubber washer out of position and this causes it to not shut all the water off to the spout when using the spray handle. So people, if it leaks out the spout , you can try re-installing the diverter valve or you can live with it if you choose.
Thanks for the video... -
excellent show! be careful with the quarter that turns the old diverter off. The plastic get brittle and some teeth may break. Thanks for all the help!

Thank you so much for this video! My faucet is finally fixed after a very long time and I didn't have to call a plumber! Single ladies you can do this!!!

Mine has a plastic check valve attached to the spray hose (single faucet/sprayer) underneath the faucet assembly. Two tiny plastic tabs broke getting it off (because it was clogged!!!) - is that a separate part or part of the entire hose assembly?

THANKS SO MUCH

Thanks man, great info.

Hi guys, need some help here since this is my first time fixing peerless faucet. Any idea how to get the cartridge out? I need to replace the hot water part. Thanks
-
Thanks for the video, I was able to remove diverter but almost broke it using blade, I finally was able to get it out by inserting a round shaft(knive sharpener) into the diverter to hold its shape and used vice grips.

most peerless faucets carry a lifetime warranty. parts are free.
-
I ordered the part and it does the same damn thing waste of time and money. I already had the black diverter in my faucet and it still has the slow dribble after you turn it off.
-
Thanks much for the information ...it saved the day!. I had exactly the same problem but with a different brand of water faucet. I fixed by removing the part and placing it in vinegar for 20 minutes and then placing it back carefully.
-
Thank you for this video! We just replaced ours and it worked! We were not able to loosen the old diverter with the quarter because two of the tabs broke off but we got it out with needle nose pliers.

If you use a strap wrench it works well without damaging the finish of the faucet. It's made out of rubber and plastic
