How to fix hole in Drywall/Sheetrock/wall and texture 4

This series is amazing you explain things very well! I am going to pick up everything needed to do a repair can you tell me what kind of drywall mud you where using in the bucket and where I can get it? Also I see you used white regular tape for the doorknob hole what is the difference in the white tape an the mess one? Thank you for all the great videos have a great day.

Great video!! I bought the water based Homax this weekend to texture a patch I did in my bathroom. When I sprayed it it sprayed on the wall, but also dripped down the can and sprayed all over the place. What am I doing wrong??

Paul, I noticed that you did not rub the texture more flat. I use Homax oil base texture for my orange peel patches. It's great stuff, but you have to "flatten" it out to match most water based original orange peel texture. After it's dry rub it 1 time (literally) with a sanding sponge to make it lay down like a water based product. Homax water based orange peel texture may be wiped flat by excessive paint strokes. The average homeowner would not know these distinctions, great how to video though.

Your technique using the grout sponge and the flashlight really saved me headache and mess/sanding dust. Thank you.

Great video! Thank you for the tips

The instructions sorta remind me how some women apply makeup on YouTube makeup tutorial videos.
But, hey, yeah, good instruction! -
Nice Job Bababouy!

help!!! How do you fix an BAD job.....orange peel was used and already painted.. Still see the surface....

Hi Tommy Rad, Thanks for your input. You are right about the new Homax texture, it is an awesome product. They have greatly improved it over years. However, you are mistaken about the wall that I repaired on this video. I fixed this hole on my wall and no one can point out where the patch was. This house is 25 years old and the wall has been painted numerous times. When texture has been painted on over and over, it becomes smoother, thus making it harder to match with new texture. Paul

That Homax wall texture is SO MUCH BETTER than the old stuff with the different sized red spray-tubes. Works incredibly well. Very short learning curve on how to control the settings on the can. I used the water-based orange peel spray. I had to cover about a dozen door-knob sized holes. More than enough in 1 can. Perhaps you can do a video repair on an already finished [orange-peeled] wall. Blank wallboard is super easy to fix. Fixing a hole in a 12 year old house is a bit different. Thanks.

Thanks for this Paul. Great series! The flashlight trick was awesome and the butterfly patch was like a light bulb. I was like...what is this extra block stuff around the edges you are doing...then ahha!
