How To Clean A Concrete Driveway And Remove Oil Stains
Tricks, Ratschläge, Online, Reparieren, Landwirtschaft, Landwirtschaft Maschine
Concrete driveways take a lot of abuse with weather, car oil and dirt. Regularly cleaning your driveway with a pressure wash and sealant can make all the difference. For this project, you will need a pressure washer, detergent, degreaser, commercial grade cleaner and a stiff utility brush. Pressure washing is a great way to get rid of the built in dirt and grime on your concrete driveway. Before pressure washing, use a heavy degreaser to remove any stains. Spray the area making sure that the degreaser penetrates the stain, then using a stiff brush, scrub the area. Next fill the pressure washer with a commercial grade cleaner and connect to the hose. Clean the entire driveway spraying from left to right and top to bottom. Be sure to keep the concrete damp, and do not let it dry so that the detergent can set in. Once the detergent has had time to work, set the pressure washer to rinse and cleanse the surface. A new driveway can cost thousands of dollars, but if your driveway is in good shape, a simple clean and sealer can make all the difference. For more helpful videos, visit http://www.Lowes.com/Videos. Get yourself a rotary (disc) pressure head. All the videos I've seen of those look like they do a GREAT job.

I used what I once used on clothing to remove oil stains before the clothing stain removers came about, which is, "starch". It took several treatments of the white powder, which I worked into the concrete a little with my shoe and let stand. The next rain cleaned it away. After doing that natural, cheap method three or four times, the oil stain just faded away. The starch leaches the oil out of whatever you use it on.

I have some small regular oil leaks from several cars. I use gasoline to clean the stains. Don't smoke of course. Pour the gasoline (not 2 cycle mix straight gasoline) on the stain. Take paper towels and lay them on the puddle. Th oil will mingle with the gas and come right up. When it drys it will look like new. If it's old stains you may brush over the cleaned area with some Portland cement. Broom it back and forth and it will look perfect. My driveway is not sealed so not sure I'd pour gasoline of a sealed driveway.

I have stains in my driveway that are most noticeable when wet. They appear as white stains in areas where cars were parked at some point. I also see white spots on my sidewalk and back patio. What causes these stains and what should I use to get rid of them?

I think I bought a Retro-Encabulator from this guy.

Yes, spray a liberal amount of brake cleaner on the stain. Feel free to scrub it with a firm bristle brush. Spray it off with a pressure washer. Repeat if necessary. The stain will come out. As far as the hippie nature freaks that will bash me are concerned, petroleum products are derived from the earth!

But is the solution 100% safe for plants/grass and drains? I am thinking about starting a pressure washing business but I want to make sure I am not using something that will destroy people's things.
