What is the difference between stain and dye.....why did the earth tone colors turn totally pale and faded in two years? Outdoor application of these products seems to be problematic.....

Behr Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain is not semi-transparent, nor does it permeate concrete like a stain. Really poor product; cost us thousands to apply it and then remove it.
