HomeMade 12v / 24v water pump / jet-pump, built from free scrap, off-grid,

This video is a continuation to the water pump video I made a few months ago, now I have hooked up a 24v DC motor to the converted jet pump. This is just a test set up, I'm going to weld a bracket to the pump so I can directly mount the motor to the pump housing I will have to install a smaller belt. I want the unit compact so I can place it at the bottom of the well tile. I will also need to hookup the pressure tank and well- trol. I thought this info could be useful for people trying to get water from a well or lake in a location where hydro was not available. You can buy large inverters and 12v pumps but this is just a cheap / free way of doing this, if find an old rechargeable lawn mower and jet pump on the curbside you can build this. I build everything out of free find junk that would have gone to landfill or scarped, at least these useful parts can now have a new lease on life. My videos are about sharing info, for entertainment purposes only, I don't recommend doing any of this at home. Thanks for Watching

Your headed in the right direction. Nice way to switch the DC current, your switch looks like a Leviton 5601-W, and the pressure switch a Square D 9013 FSG2, or there
about, if I remember the difference in looks of the Square D contacts and the Furnas contacts and arrangement of lines in and lines out of the two brands of pressure switches. GE used to make one too but the last GE pressure switch I sold was back
in the late sixties or mid seventies. Nice video showing your DC load switched through a contactor which is very important for a safe operation. -
Great job I'll be using this idea at my off grid home. Thanks for the informative video.
