why do wives always have a small uncontrollable snicker when we are at our best?

Your valve will probably do the trick but I wired in a PWM in the cab of my UTV to adjust voltage without wasting it with a potentiometer. Also saves wear and tear on the pump motor instead of pushing against the semi closed valve and gives me infinite control over spray pressure. This is a good little example of building what you can with what you got. Good job!

Not bad however I do see one problem you have no way to raise or lower the booms! That might be required if you have to go through a gate. Also the addition of a remote switch as some one else said. I can even be a old light switch also you could get fancy and put in a trailer light plug and mount that on the back of the ATV and wire it though the ATV and hook it to the battery! Just hook up the trailer plug in the pump & pull it to the spray location throw the switch and happy spray time! :)

Great job. Redneck engineering is often underrated for sure and many so called rednecks display a high level of intelligence and creativity. I am sure you'll hook some kind of switch, perhaps a 12 volt remote control switch, up at the front to turn it on when you need it and draw power off of the 4 wheeler battery.

Wow this is such a great idea. I do indoor gardening and really could use this instrument. Could you provide me with instructions on how to make something like this. This is really interesting!

fill it with gasoline, and put spark plugs on the nozzles.
