The only problem I've had with this gun is the nylon ring between the cup and the gun always breaks up. That part is not available from harbor freight. I've just used teflon tape and it works pretty well.

RP8114 Rongpeng.
If you buy the real deal the QC is better since it has the manufacturers name and the QC specs are higher than what that zillionaire prick who owns Harbinating Fart is willing to pay.
The gun runs about $70-80 in the rest of the world.TONS of guys in Latin America and Asia use them. You're not going to paint customs with it but it'll lay down a nice enough job on a car or toolboxes, gates, metal doors, cabinets etc. Dunno about the HF version and not planning to find out.
Like any tools. Go to the source. SATA can take a run with Strap_On, MAC,Matco or SK any day at about 1/4 the cost. So can Genius, GearWrench and Jonnesway.
Great stuff. This aint the eighties boys and gurlz. Asia is kickin some ass and headed toward the quality minded consumer. -
Pat can suck it.

I use it for primer it works pretty good
-
it does
-
Does it say made in China?.

HF has some good stuff but their quality control isnt what it should be, sometimes you get a winner, sometimes a weiner, if you know what I mean....they do replace faulty stuff though
-
does harborfreight have a gun that I can use oil base paint in it?
-
Harbor Freight, Tools that last a good 24 hours, if you get lucky.

I use this for my parking lot stripping business works great good results

I did this a couple times and I could see where the needle was now contacting the nozzle. I cleaned the parts very well, then I tried again and.... no more leaks. Now after all of that, I am actually getting great results. But I won't use the 1.4mm tip. My touch-up gun does great with the motorcycle parts. I haven't used the 1.4mm tip, I might see if it leaks, and then show a video on how I fixed it. Ohh.. and it sucks that I can only reply with 500 letters.. haha

So I came up with the idea to lap the needle to the nozzle like doing a valvle job on a cars cyclinder head. I didn't have much to loose anyways, this cheapo gun was ruining everything. I put the needle in to my cordless drill, and I carefully put the nozzle in my table vise, then I put some of the rough compounding paste on the needle and inside the nozzle. I put the needle to the nozzle and used the drill a few seconds, and put more paste.

And it would spit out large drops of paint every time I pulled the trigger, and sometimes just keep dripping paint. I wasn't so happy at this moment. I stopped, cleaned the gun, made sure I put it together right, and tried again, it still leaked. Putting large drops on the motorcycle parts. I took it a part again and all I could think of is the needle doesn't seat well with the nozzle.

I changed out the tip to the 1.8mm for the flakes and I could see oil on the inside.. well that is very bad for painting automotive paint. The 1.4mm tip was extremely hard to take off, the gun started flexing from me trying to get it off, but I finally got it off. The needle was really, really sticky, maybe from when I was flexing the gun. It took me a awhile to fix that. So I do my set up, and start painting using some expensive paint.

I use to have a few great spray guns, then I sold them except for just my touch up gun. A heard a co-worker talking about painting both of their sport bikes. So I told him I'd do it. He started talking about flakes and then I knew I needed something with a bigger tip. So I looked around for something cheap only for when I was going to spray the flakes. I went to the local Harbor Freight store and bought the kit that has a touch-up gun and a full size gun with a 1.4 and a 1.8mm tip.

"a fraction of the cost" and a fraction of the quality.

I wanna change the color of my furniture, wich gun is good for that?
-
@josueguzman602 no as in what brand, im looking for a great brand that is cheap for plastics

@orozco53204 The two are very different. I have a few of both.. The body is pretty much the same but the tip on the 66222 has many more holes in it and a different design. The 47016 is not really an HVLP. That said I don't have a favorite between the two. Both are good all depends on what you spray too.
