Hercules DJ Console RMX problem with Traktor Pro 2

Dear All, I'm using a Hercules DJ Console RMX usb controller with Traktor Pro 2. I have been experiencing a problem, and I cannot find reference to it anywhere on the internet. Every now and then I'll be playing tracks and one of my jogwheels will start to act strange. When I spin the effected wheel steadily in one direction it will act as though it is inverted and move the track in the opposite direction, and when I spin the wheel steadily in the other direction it will skip back and forth between moving the track left and right. I cannot tell what is causing it. It happens apparently randomly, and sometimes fixes itself. Sometimes it effects the left wheel, sometimes the right. Does anybody know if this is a problem with Traktor, my controller, or the midi settings I am using this controller with? Has anybody experienced a similar problem? Sorry for the low-quality video. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best, ----Sam

thxs! it was the .tsi file after all, i had to visit a few forums. I'm using traktor pro 2.0.1, and a genius guy called chris had made a file 'chris's ultimate tsi'...... I imported that file works a treat! thank you for the speedy response and thanks for your help! really appreciated! Macman

PART 3 2) go into the traktor preferences and find the "controller manager" page. Under "device" select your controller. There should be a bunch of mappings, if there are not you should find a .tsi file from hercules' website. 3) After you have a .tsi file, and you import it, your controller should be mapped. After this point, assign the "in-port" and "out-port" to the USB port that you use. Mapping your controller in one port and plugging it into another will make it not work. Any of this help?

PART 2: You can see that last part in the bottom right hand corner of this video. If that is not there, reinstall it from the disk. If that is there, wait patiently until it looks like it does in that video. OPEN TRAKTOR AFTER THIS HAPPENS. If it does do that, but it doesn't work, do a couple things: 1) double click this icon. You should make sure that under Audio Mode "WDM" is selected on the main page, and NOT "ASIO".

First, have you installed the drivers? You need the Hercules DJ Series Control Panel. If you have it, there should be a little icon on your task bar. It is a black circle and it says "DJ" on it, and when your controller is not plugged in it should have a little red "x". If this is not on your task bar, you should install it from the CD that came with your Hercules controller. If it is there, then plug it in and wait until the red X disappears and the whole thing kinda looks like a record.

I've had this experience too, what i have done ( i have/use the exact combo) is stop playing with the jogwheel thatsfucking around and move the other one around both ways, making sure its operating correct. then go back to the one thats fidgeting around like that and try moving it again, if this doesn't work, repeat. I have no clue what the cause is, its sucks some times, but u just gotta kinda coax the jog wheel back to normal, smack both of them around a lil, give em life again lol

the mp3 file on either the left or right song is corrupt. delete the mp3 and get new ones... when u load a broken mp3 file it will cause either deck to act up.. once you get back to having 2 good mp3's on both decks that problem goes away
