Whhat? what is the problem using this light green colour?

Have you read the book 'the passage' by Justin Cronin? It's also about a viral outbreak created by the military which makes ppl into some sort of vampires but the glow up bright green, some glow up red, but what I've read is a 'massive green glow of a large group of virals'........that's what they call them, virals........Eventhough the desease/infection is different, it's(the book) also a large comparison to an ebola-zombie epocalyps as where small groups of ppl in small cities surrounded by walls and guards with lights on every night try to survive, California(and I believe Texas) is seceeded(not sure if I spell it right, it's from secession)from the US, where the small communities thrive under the thret, etc. I recommend this book to read to compare, also part 2 'the twelve' is great to read.

I find the black oil goo very interesting. That's what had me watch the series. The movies: X Files, Prometheus, Phantoms all featured this black oil as intelligent and primordial.
