Serato is wayyy better in my opinion like if you agree

I was groovin to this and then the video stopped lol Jeff is just the man on the turntables though!
-
Yo Jeff rock the beat with your hands... DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier and Jam Master Jay are the illest in my opinion but we can't forget Kid Capri.

To clear up the whole no earphone and turntablist thing for those who don't get it . I can beat mix vinyl with no earphones because I bpm my vinyl I know for example that the track I want to play will be at 95 bpm when it's + 2.5 on the pitch slider and I mark the first beat with a sticker so I don't need the headphones to find the first beat and cue it up because I know where it's allready at most turntablist / hiphop djs will do this because the way the mix dosnt allow the time to beat match in the traditional way and but headphones in a club are still needed to actually hear what you are playing over the speakers , if your not in a club you don't need the phones because you can hear . When you move over to traktor or serato you don't need to mark the first beat with a sticker because you can do it with a cue button and if you have a brain you will notice that the software has a bpm reader built in and it's as simple as letting the track play and move the pitch slider until it near enough the other track that they match up and sync just makes it instant and I will put up my hands and say yes I use sync sometimes if I'm playing 3 or 4 tracks and I want to use effect and do a routine that's on 30 seconds long then there is no other way than to use sync . You really shouldn't judge a Dj by how they beat match is a basic skill that every dj should know and if a pro is using it then there is a reason for it bug if it's some chump at your local club only mixing 1 track to the next with no creativity then yes you can Diss the fuck out of them because that's when traditional beat matching is necessary . May I add that the sync button does not make you scratch or beat juggle any better than without and can actually hamper you depending what type of sync setting you use tempo sync will just put everything at the same bpm but won't actually line he mix up for you it beat sync will "lock" the beats together which is a nightmare for scratch djs because it interferes with your flow the same goes for quantise which can be really useful for certain things but will mess you up others .In short don't judge a Dj on how they do things unless they pre record sets , use sync when it's really not needed or just fake it completely the only things that really matters is what comes out the speakers if it's sic then it's sic if it sucks it sucks and DVS technology vs classic vinyl won't make a difference a bad dj is a bad dj regardless of equipment and all DVS does it make it easier to store your music and it gives you to nice flat consistent vinyl to use ( old school turntablist will understand ( no more warped vinyl no more badly cut grooves no more rocking that awsome but very very worn out break or sample on a vinyl that has bad record burn and no more carrying crates but on the flip side it adds so much potential for creativity and different styles but the skills needed are no different than straight vinyl records apart from perhaps finesse of touch which of your trying to scratch or beat juggle two vinyl that are warped you will need

Traktor > Serato...
Just sayin... -
lololol look at wilson at 1:02

Too many popular tracks too quick just sounds like some commercial radio showcase. Who's to blame here, him, or those indifferent rich kids in asia who don't really understand western culture, and are really just sitting back waiting for china to take out america. fuck yeah.

Living legend !!

Ok, you can tell they paid him alot of money for that bullshit.. He's not even the kind of D.J. who use all of that trashy crap anyway.. Even the mixes were sloppy as hell..
-
0:16, that's for me, I'll get it
-
Personally I think what makes him one of THEE BEST is his versatility and ability to stay on point in his mixes, even his scratches have a beat. So to the negative ones you don't have to kill yourself just brush ya teeth with some draino!

I just been dead the last 31 yrs on earth when the philly DJ that invented the chirp scratch, DJ'd for Will Smith, acted on the TV show "fresh prince of bel-air", A&R'd for Jive, etc was Dj'ing... dont try to son me you piece of youtube garbage....lol I been living this DJing shit for 17yrs... probably longer than you been on earth...

He has been DJing for years and years. He isn't 'just' a Power 106 dj.

I have watched DJ's for years. Watched Dj's from the beginning to the now. When i say Jeff is a walking computer, i don't exaggerate a bit. To know what songs beat match, to know what songs don't beat match and now is time to use "echo fx or repeat fx" is a gift. His understanding of these music and these instruments called "Wheels of Steel" are can not be written in a book. Serato, and Traktor are in his dna. No flaws at all... what a Dj.
