Homemade PVC Camp Shower! The 5 Gallon PVC Bucket Shower! Easy Assembly/Disassembly. whole thing breaks down in seconds and fits right in the bucket! hooks to a garden hose or can be run completely off the "water grid" with a small AC/DC water pump (just fill the bucket with water and drop in the pump). The shower was designed with stability, portability and ease of use in mind. first, using the bucket as the base allows the shower to be very stable. *and for extra stability (in high wind) just add sand, gravel, rocks or water to the bucket). in terms of portability, it breaks down in seconds and all parts fit inside the bucket (with room for towels, soap, shampoo, even a roll-up "pocket style" hose!) and for ease of use i included an inline water flow valve. total cost about 22-23 dollars (only $15 if you skip the water flow valve/coupler). couple of notes: the internal piping structure was designed so that i could secure it (zip tie it) in at least 3 places near the top of the bucket. this, along with the total height of the unit makes it very stable and allows the bucket to hold water (if using it "off the grid" with an optional water pump) *the height of it also allows it to be used easily by children or adults.

I love human ingenuity

just curious about how much this cost to build and how would it work without access to a hose like if i were to just fill the bucket with a small pump. And finally, would a hot water submersion rod work to heat the water up? Thanks in advance.

Great IDEA then there is the PLANET FITNESS SHOWER $25 a month membership freezing, heat, rain, matters not you go get yoru shower and wifi internet. Want to catch some news they got that too while you walk or bike.
THIS IS A NICE SHOWER . -
that's pretty customized.working on 2 years now I get a sun warmed shower that uses about 1 gallon. a large plastic cat litter (green) maybe 2to3 gals with a large lid which I put a thru hull fitting on, and 14 inches of garden hose is stuffed into the fitting. takes a couple hours in the summer little bit more in the winter sitting in the sun on the ground. it's too hot to shower at mid day, unless cool water is added. place it on a ladder, has to be centered or it'll fall off. the thru hull can limit the flow by turning the hose. a trickle works great. the container is starting to split at the top by the handle. just adding the gallon back will get some moss growing, not alot, but enough to give the feeling of just got out of a lake for an extra bonus. I had a 40 gal water heater with a pin hole at the very top to solar a house but someone threw that away.

Make a few with concrete to give it a weighted base and put a mist head on it. I would want one to use on my patio to use with a fan to cool things down while I fired up the grill. ; )

I see this design being used has part of a hydroponic set up. Great build!

What about creating a a running faucet when there's no water supply? Just a bucket of water

Genius! Such a clever invention. Well done. And if we hook up one of your copper coil water heaters to the inlet, after not too long, boom, warm water in this bucket shower set up.

Nice idea. I love how it all fits into the bucket.

If you have a threaded 45, why not just screw in a small water saver shower head?
