You shouldnt stop when your sweeping the spray gun because it will coss visible lines. Also you should prime and paint the ceiling first so that the texture has something to bond to. His texture looks very uneven and clunky in certain areas.

just curious what do you charge a square foot for knockdown texture?

Im planning to apply knock down texture in my home 2500SF . Which compressor would you recommend me to buy to do it my self .

Regina I am sure you can but I would do a test on a scrap piece of drywall.
You will have to roll on and then wait for the texture to start hardening and then knock it down like we did on the ceiling, Trial and error!! -
Can I do this same technique to do walls but with a roll on texter

Where are your masks! Breathing that powder can't be good! And...who said a man can't make a cake!

Very good video, lots of good info. I'm wanting to give it a try in my house, do you think a cheap harbor freight hopper gun would be able to get the job done?

+freethinker52 - Yes priming does slow down the drying, pending what material you use for your texture. We have only encounter where priming was needed and that was in condos where the ceilings are concrete. Thank you for your input and viewing!

I like to prime before I texture. it slows down the drying .
