Thanks, I didn't have to replace the cartridge yet. The blue rubber casket had slipped off the bottom of the cartridge. Put it back on and no leaks so far. I owe you a beer!

Hmmm Turning off the supply valves is not required? I think I always do that just in case things get "hairy", the unexpected happens, and I need to stop the water supply to the fixture. The worse case scenario is that I then discover that the supply valves are frozen tight, and impossible to close, which means turning off the water to the whole house, most likely. This will add extra stress to the job and is guaranteed to make you unpopular... So now I start with checking out those pesky supply valves!

Simply call Price Pfister and they will likely send you a free new cartridge. Definitely need plumber's grease so that is your only cost. Simple.

Followed your instructions and it worked great for about a month. After that it started leaking again. I read somewhere that you need to lubricate the bottom of the cartridge with plumbers grease for a smoother operation and better seal. Once I added the plumbers grease it stopped any further leaks and turns smoother.

Thank you for your awesome video! We bought a faucet on sale at the store for $88, but after viewing your video, we decided to try to repair our existing, leaking faucet. The price pfister cartridge cost us only $14, so you saved us $75.00!! Keep up the great work, we look forward to learning more from your other videos. Thanks again!
