DIY Camp Sink! PVC Bucket Sink! a lightweight portable sink that can be used almost anywhere. faucets swing and are even removable for easy transport! full build instructions. made with a 5 gallon bucket and PVC. sink works both on and off the "water grid" so it can be used almost anywhere. *the off-grid option uses a water pump. to run it with a battery or a solar panel - use a DC Water Pump. the bucket itself acts as the 5 gallon water reservoir - with the sink basin placed on top. the basin i designed is complete with a drain to carry away the grey water. (or just use a pan placed on top of the bucket *stainless steel pot shown in video). final thoughts; sink is very versatile. add hot water to storage tank (bucket) and you got a hot water tap or hook the "on grid" faucet straight to a poly pipe solar water heater. another option: with a slight modification it could be used as a shower. just unscrew one of the faucets, add a longer post and swing it away from the bucket. and if you've got a municipal water tap then both faucets can be used at the same time. *with conservation in mind (setting pump on low speed, using a 2 or 3 hole configuration in the end cap of the faucet and turning faucet off while soaping up hands, brushing teeth etc... it will run a long time on 5 gallons
