Cold Starting the Yard-Man Lawn Tractor and Yard Machines Push Mower

We were back out in Marseilles yesterday as we continue work on my uncle's mom's house. The lawn hasn't been mowed in over a month, so that needed to be done. In this video, we fire up the good old Yard-Man lawn tractor as well as the push mower. I won't give too much info about the tractor, since I've already done two videos on it, but I will about the push mower. The push mower on this property is a Yard Machines Gold series mower with a 5 HP Briggs engine. I use this mower to mow areas where the tractor won't get, like the drainage ditch out by the street. As you can hear, it doesn't run 100%, but it does start right up with a lot of priming. The carburetor on it needs a cleaning. It used to be where Steve couldn't get it to start at all without spraying starter fluid into it. Always starts first pull for me, but that may be because I have a little more upper arm strength, and it takes a hard pull to get it going. I'm hoping that when my uncle goes to sell the house he'll just let me take this mower, at least for a short time. I really want to clean the carb on it so it runs like new and give it a good pressure wash.

Wow, they both started on the first attempt. My old Craftsman Lawn Mower always took 3 + pulls to get going. Now it sits unused in my garage with a corroborator issue because my dad replaced it with a Kobalt corded electric mower. Pulling around a cord is a bit of a pain, but otherwise it is quite nice.
