The leakage is not a defect, there are several camping showers of this kind and its designed this way to have a small flow even do the button is set to minimum.
The reason for this is to prevent hi pressure building up in the house and actually damage the shower, because if pressure get to high and fully closed it will push it out thru gaskets or end of the tube, so the very small dripping is correct. -
Trust me, upgrading to the point where you use pumps and other gadgets is NOT an upgrade. The simpler the unit the better. For instance I started out with a hand pumped garden sprayer, which worked great. Then I decided to downgrade and not use a hand pump that may not work in the future and would have to be repaired or replaced. So I set up a gravity-fed shower where I attached a spigot to the side of a container (near the bottom) and attached a tube to that, with a showerhead (that could be turned on and off at the head) attached to the other end. So now I have a system that can never fail and never needs repair. Water always flows downhill, right? I set the container above the shower stall, heat water, and pour it into the container. Simple as that. I've been using this system for 2 years now and I'm very happy with my set-up. I get into the shower, turn the showerhead on to wet myself down, then turn the showerhead off, lather up, and turn the showerhead back on to rinse off. Nice.
