"Berlinstyle - is a short film about the passion to create and the current developement of the legal graffiti scene in Berlin. It gives an insight in the thoughts of four representative artists and shows how different graffiti can be. The protagonists are: the Oldschooler “Dejoe”- who started painting in the late 80’s, the Newschooler “Raws”- who represents a new generation of stylewriters, the illustrator “Stereoheat”- who is famous for his detailed female characters and the painter “Base23” who adapts classic graffiti by painting abstract robot animals." Wie kann man sich nur an der Werbeindustrie orientieren?!...Durch die vermischung dieser Dinge wird Graffiti zur Trivialkunst. Stylewriting gehört nicht in die Gallerie. Und Stylewriting is auch keine Kunst. Graffiti gehört in den Dreck und auf die Straße. Durch den Kontext zum öffentichen Raum wird die Essenz von Graffti erst deutlich. Ich mag schöne Hallpieces wirklich aber bitte lasst die Kirche doch endlich mal im Dorf. Und wenn die Gallerie das Ziel ist, dann denk über das Wort "bedeutungsschwanger" oder "Aussage" nochmal nach. Klassisches Graffiti hat im legalen Raum weder das eine noch das andere! Es ist einfach nur Graffiti...Und falls das ein oder andere Ego durch Millionen von likes schon zu groß geworden ist, denkt mal an Chart-hiphop. Trivialer und uninteressanter gehts kaum...aber die Kiddis feiern es...
