Good video. Thanks. I liked the narration, different camera angles, transitions, et al. (Only improvement might be Waylon, Willie, Johnny, or Tom T. Hall at the end. Just kidding!)

Really good video, Roy. You give a great description. I also have an X748, and a 45 loader. The only thing I do differently is not set my parking brake, and as I drop the lift arms onto the mounting bar, I let the tractor ease forward instead of dragging the loader backward. It helps avoid the loader walking on uneven surface and moving out of position. @ Captainedc: The 40 loader is made for the 400 series, and the mount is different from the 45 loader. That's not to say you couldn't modify parts or fab your own@madogblue: Starting with the 2013 model year, JD no longer makes the 45 loader, and the '13 X7's don't have the hole in the frame rails needed for the mounting bracket. There are aftermarket loaders that will fit, though

Very nice loader and great video. I might be able to get a 45 loader for under 2k. Do u think I can make it fit my JD 400 ? THX for posting. .

I didn't think the X series would handle a front end loader? I thought you needed to step up to a 1 series?

This is a great video! Easy to see, you explained it well and it was fun to watch! Thank you!!!

I really injoy these videos. I just bought a John Deere garden tractor myself

Hi Roy, Nice setup! I have a little tractor work business in the northeast and I was wondering if I could use one of your tilled garden pictures? for my website.I was looking on google for one and I came across one from a forum post titled-"No snow seat time, just dirt" Its the picture below the words"Then I tilled it all in. Got the first pass done:" that I want to use. It is just going to be the picture next to rototilling and then people click on the caption to learn about the service I do.

Excellent video. Very informative. Thanks for posting.

Wow Roy, what is the latest with big green?

The reason you did not find any information on the web for this product is that hardly any are sold. If a person decides he needs a FEL, he will go buy a tractor designed to handle one. These units on the little lawn tractors are so light duty is almost funny to see them being used. I thought it was interesting how your video never shows the little post sticking up on each side.

Do you know if it would be the same process on a 2002 X495?
-
Can you make a video for the rear backhoe implement?
-
Hi I saw that you have a rear-pto on your x700 series tractor. I've got a question about it. do you think I can use a rear pto from a x700 for my old 318? thanks for answering

Yanmar and Deere have a great relationship and the engine is VERY dependable. If you expect to put hours on your machine and want the most at trade/sale I think you'd be smart getting yourself the X748. AWD is sweet! 7 iron is great too! 45 FEL will do all the task you need for landscape installs without tearing up the turn like a bobcat/bigger machine. What might take a couple more bucket loads will turn into valuable time save with installing new turf.

@Powerstrokekid1 By now I'd guess you've already made your decission, but I'll weigh in if others have the same question. I personaly feel the X720/724/728 would be a better route to take with the 27 hp EFI. Carbs aren't as nice as fuel injection and when you mow and come across an area that grows faster or climbing hills while under load you will love that EFI. The Kawasaki is a solid engine That said, the yenmar has been used in JD garden tractors since 1983 in the 430 model.
