Ableton Tutorial: Routing Traktor to Ableton using Jack for Windows
Tricks, Ratschläge, Online, Reparieren, Landwirtschaft, Landwirtschaft Maschine
When using JACK for Windows, it is possible to route audio from one application to another. In this video you'll learn how to route audio from Traktor to Ableton Live through JACK for Windows. I'll handle Midi Clock synchronisation in another video. ===================================== People using Ableton 9 - 64bit need to manually register the 64 bit JackRouter.dll. Visit this page to read up on how to do that: http://jackaudio.org/faq/jack_on_windows.html Very important: Run the command from an elevated prompt (right click cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator").

Peter,
A big thank for creating these vids to help us. I run Traktor and Ableton Live.
I got the JackAudio running per your previous video. Now I am trying to route Tracktor to Ableton per this video but Traktor crashes imminently after selecting JackRouter in audio device. Any help regarding this would be helpful. -
Hi, when I try to set the Audio Device in Traktor to JackRouter, Traktor crashes and I ll get "Traktor has stopped working" error. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? There arent any problems with Ableton Live and Jack.

Link in the description has been updated and should work again.

Hi there, the link is dead, it gives me a 404 error message.

Hi Peter, when I select jack router as the audio device in Ableton it comes up with an error message saying "failed to open the audio device jack router" and in Traktor I get an error message saying please connect and select an audio device. I have also registered the .dll successfully and set all associated programs to run as administrator but still no joy. I get an error from Jack saying cannot connect to server. I have tried solving this problem from all 3 tutorial videos but failing miserably. Are you familiar with this problem and can you help me out please?

Can you say anything about how to cue/prelisten a track from Traktor with this set up.
When I select the software midi device from the lists on both programs, Traktor S8 from live's output. It does not let me pre listen and for obvious reasons. Is there a way around it? -
Hi Peter. Thank you for that great tutorial!

Please Help me, ive waites so long for some tutorial, but now it doesnt work!
first problem is, that jack only offers 4 outs, but i need 8, because i want to play with 4 decks! and the second problem is, that i want to use an external soundcard, not the system sounds. how can i make this work? Hoping for an answer! :) -
I can't get none of them to work... Jack Router is visible both in Traktor and Ableton, but this happens:
Cannot connect to named pipe = \\.\pipe\client_jack_Live 8.2.2_0 err = 5
Cannot connect client pipe
Cannot connect to client name = Live 8.2.2
Cannot connect to named pipe = \\.\pipe\client_jack_Traktor_0 err = 5
Cannot connect client pipe
Cannot connect to client name = Traktor
Please, help!
