DAYTON-- Two men were arrested for vandalism and possession of criminal tools, after they were caught by police, spray painting pieces of property. Tuesday night officers spotted two men spray painting a concrete pillar on Stanley Avenue Ben Perl, 25, and Shawn Spahr, 18, were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Officers said Perl and Spahr had book bags filled with spray paint. Police said they also had notebooks filled with graffiti art. Tom Terry said he has painted the wall at his building 4 times in the last month, because of vandalism. His business, on Ray Street like so many in this area have been spray painted with graffiti. We painted over it, and 2 days later it's there again. Its so aggravating. Terry said. Perl and Spahr are facing charges of vandalism and possession of criminal tools, which are 2 misdemeanors, but Terry wants the clean up process to also be part of their punishment. I think they ought to go around and make them paint the whole building and make them buy the paint.
