I have a guy now that Sparys my food plot with round up every year and cost me $250 that does not include arrest max in my clover plot. So I will be doing this and will save.

Two Comments:
1) I had a problem with only a straight p.v.c. pipe, going down inside my barrel. A vorticees formed and the pump could not pull water up or out vertically, nor prime the pump. After installing a 90* elbow at the bottom of the p.v.c. pipe, it solved the vorticees problem. I also taped a piece of screen on the end of that elbow, as a filter to protect the pump and spray nozzles from debris.
2) The pump I bought from Harbor Freight draws 9 AMPS. The cigarette lighter plug/fuse (factory installed) was unable to take the high amperage, so the fuse blew. I suggest extending the pump's electrical wiring to 6 ft., use the same alligator clips to hook onto the battery, and install an "On/Off" switch in the middle. That should protect the pump and save battery power. -
This system has no wand for spot spraying, no pressure control and very uneven output. By the time a guy buys all the parts and figures out how to assemble, will cost more than a $100. Not everyone has an expensive side by side to build around either. Then figure the real cost, the chemicals wasted.
If a guy understands how a sprayer works, knows what they need it to do, and is frugal, just build a system from actual sprayer parts that will cost more but will be serviceable for much longer and will output evenly. Most ppl will have a riding lawn mower to build around, a trailer is a way to go. If U own a quad, even better. Engineer around what U have.
The $10 tank is great though. Can build a boom that will plumbs naturally using a manifold system made for the pump in this video with connections for an indispensable wand for spot spraying. I actually put together 2 sprayers for the farm last summer when everything was on sale, cheaper than I could build it. -
Best home made job I've seen so far. Hopefully I can find a plastic tank small enough for my atv. 55ga would kill my little 250.

I purchased a 3/4 inch female pvc connector for the pvc pipe with the pump I used in the video I had to buy 1/2 to 3/4 galvanized fitting to connect to the hose. if you buy a pump that is already set up to a garden hose it is much easier. you can get them for 50.00 or less at Harbor Freight.
-
how do you connect the hose to the pump and the pvc. looking at making this but I think I am thinking about it too hard.

how much cost that POLARIS you driven ?? $8,799.00 ?

Thanks Rush Limbaugh!

certain chemicals require a spraying license to use like lv4

How do you power the pump? Wanting to make one for our farm and didn't know if I needed any special attachments for the pump to give it power.
-
What kind of nozzles are those? Can I just pick them up at Home Depot/ Lowes or something? Never seen them before.
